and Mrs. John Adams Buchanan of Durham, and Lieutenant George Horace Flowers, of the United States army, son of George Horace Flow- ers and the late Mrs. Flowers of Richmond, was solemnized this evening in Trinity Methodist church. With Mrs. Bert Cunningham presiding at the organ, a musical program was presented.

A quartette composed of Mrs. H. E. Myers, Mrs. Gwin, Camden Hundley, and Thurman McLarty, sang the benediction.

The vows were spoken to Rev. George William Perry, pastor of the church. The bridegroom was attended by his father as best man. Ushers were Lowndes Peple, William Gordon, and Fred S. Campbell of Richmond, Jack Cobb Pittsburgh, Dr.

Philip Trout of Roanoke, and Thomas S. White, of Durham. The bride's four sisters, Miss Martha Buchanan, Miss Susan Buchanan, Miss Betsy Buchanan, and Miss Ann Buchanan were her maids of honor. Little Martha Erwin, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. The bridesmaids were Miss Elizabeth Flowers of Richmond, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Jessie Skinner of Elizabeth City, Miss Mary Treadway of Bristol, Miss Lottie Lewis, Miss Eleanor Southgate, and Miss Helen Noell of Durham.

The bride, escorted and given in marriage by her father, wore a wedding gown of silk marquisette and Chantilly lace, styled by the Lady Hamilton collection. Of Midriff design, it had a long waist line to which was attached the boutfant skirt with long strain, fashioned of Chantilly lace and pleated ruffles, covered by marquisette. The tight fitting bodice with dropped shoulder was of Chantilly lace eviled in marquisette. Her heirloom veil of and point lace over silk bridal illusion, extending to the full length of the train, was arranged coronet style, caught with orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white spray phalaenopsis orchids with corsage center of white canhamiana orchids in shape.

John Carlton Jones Weds Miss Kinney. Special to The Observer. SALISBURY, April 26. The marriage of Miss Jacqueline DeVine Kinney of Salisbury to John Carlton Jones, also of Salisbury, took place April 7, at Florence, S. C.
